Work is nearing completion at Argyle Centennial Park.  Several major improvements have taken place since last fall. The Baldur Regals and volunteers replaced the sod on the infield of the baseball diamond last September. At the same time they installed an underground sprinkler system and increased the size of their infield and brought in another load of red clay from Minnesota.  This spring the visitors dugout was replaced and work was replaced was completed by Rolly Grenier Construction of Baldur. Andre Rondeau gave the home dugout and soundbooth a facelift receiving new metal siding and a few other modifications.  Everett Bros. construction are in the process of finishing off the new picnic shelter that was attached to the west end of the existing food booth. There will be picnic tables placed under the shelter as a variety of items are served out of the booth during Regals games.  The town employees have also been busy with the project cleaning up several trees around the park and most noticeably along the west side of the park.  This weekend Baldur High School is co-hosting provincial high school baseball tournament and the Regals are hosting the Western Canada Senior AA Championships Aug. 20-23.  Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries contributed $10,000.00 towards the project.
